1966 yılında Gölcük’te doğan Eda Özülkü, ilk ve orta okul yıllarını İzmit’te geçirdi. Liseyi İstanbul’da tamamladı ve Marmara Üniversitesi Müzik Bölümü’nden mezun oldu. Aynı üniversitede şan eğitimi üzerine yüksek lisans yaptı. Daha sonra Işık Lisesi’nde ve mezun olduğu üniversitede öğretim görevlisi olarak çalıştı. Öğretmenliğinin yanında müzik çalışmalarına eşi Metin Özülkü ile birlikte devam etti. Eşinin bestelediği pek çok şarkının sözlerini yazdı. Bunların arasından öne çıkan “Seninle Olmak Var Ya”, “Eğlen Güzelim”, “Kuşlar”, “Alladı Pulladı”, “Doğum Günü”, “Parolayı Söyle”, “Yürü Ya Kulum”, “Yaralım” gibi şarkılar büyük beğeni topladı. Eşiyle birlikte yaptığı şarkıların demolarında solist olarak yer alan Eda Özülkü, müzik yapımcılarından gelen albüm tekliflerini uzun bir süre kabul etmedi. Ancak eşinin de ısrarlarıyla, aldığı klasik batı müziği eğitimini pop müzikte kullanmaya karar verdi. 1993 yılında albüm çalışmalarına başlamasıyla birlikte öğretim görevinden ayrıldı. Bu çalışma sonucu “Parolayı Söyle” adlı ilk albümü ortaya çıktı. Bu çok beğenilen albümün ardından sırasıyla “Dalgacı”, “Uçurdum Da Uçurdum” ve “Al Beni” adlı üç albüm daha yayınladı.
