1964 VAN ERCİŞ ‘te doğdu. İlk orta ve liseyi ERCİŞ’ te okudu. 1981 yılında İSTANBUL ‘a geldi. İki yıl özel müzik okulunda şan ve bağlama dersleri aldı. Bu arada gündüzleri okul geceleri amatör olarak sahnelere çıkmaya başladı. 1984 yılında ilk profesyonel olarak ilk albümümü çıkardı. Narini isimli albümü ilk olmasına rağmen bir milyon üzerinde satış rakamı elde etti. O yıllarda fazla medya olmamasına rağmen müzik piyasasında kendine iyi bir yer edindi. Bu güne kadar müzik yaşantısına 16 albüm sığdırdı. Son albümü YARAM İÇERDEN albümünü ise 2006 nisan ayında piyasaya çıkardı. Bugüne kadar yapmış olduğu albümlerin genelinde kendi yapmış olduğu söz ve müzikleri kullanmayı tercih etti. Bu arada yapmış olduğu eserleri diğer sanatçı arkadaşlarıda seslendirdi. Örneğin KÜÇÜK EMRAH, MAHSUN KIRMIZIGÜL, İZZET ALTINMEŞE ,NURAY HAFİFTAŞ VE KÜÇÜK CEYLAN gibi ünlü isimler seslendirdi.    NARİNİ, SİNEM SİNEM Mİ, ŞAK ŞAK, KIZLAR KIZLAR, MENŞURE HANIM şimdiye kadar halk müziğine kazandırdığı türkülerin sadece bir kaçıdır.    22. yıllık sanat hayatına 16 albüm yaptı .
