12 Ekim 1957'de İstanbul'da doğdu. İstanbul Belediyesi Konservatuarı'nda ud hocalığı yapan Hasan Erkoç'un oğlu ve müzisyen Fatih Erkoç'un kardeşidir. Pek çok ensturman çalan san'atçı ilk albümü "Uykularım Delik Deşik" 'i 1993 yılında piyasaya sundu. Beste çalışmaları ve Fatih Erkoç'la beraber verdiği konserleri ilgiyle izlenen san'atçı çok sayıda yarışmada yüksek derecelerle ödüllendirildi
