1974, İzmir doğumlu. Ege Üniversitesi İktisadi ve Ticari İlimler Yüksek Okulu'nu bitirdi. Müzik Dünyamızda besteci, söz yazarı, yorumcu ve yapımcı olarak yüzlerce şarkıya ve albüme imza attı. İlk plağını 1968 yılında doldurdu "Böyle Yazmış Yaradan". 1973 yılında İstanbul'a gelerek kendi yapım firmasını kurdu (Bir Numara Müzik Yapım). Kendi sesinden yayımlanan en önemli yapıtları "Yeni Bir Dünya İstiyorum" (1970), "Akdeniz Çocukları" (1973), "Hey Gidi Dünya Hey" (1974), "Heyamola" (1983-Sezen Aksu ve Coşkun Demir ile birlikte), "Kordon Boyu Faytonlar" (1993-Aysun Kocatepe ile birlikte). Başka sanatçılar tarafından seslendirilen en popüler yapıtları: "Dostluğa Davet", (1978-Modern Folk Üçlüsü-Nükhet Duru), "Melankoli", (1978-Nükhet Duru) , "Ben Sana Vurgunum", (1978-Nükhet Duru) , "Dönme Dolap", (1981-Ayşegül Aldinç-Modern Folk Üçlüsü) , "Meskenim Dağlar", (1984-Sezen Aksu, 1996-Mahzun Kırmızıgül) , "Küçük Bir Aşk Masalı", (1985-Sezen Aksu-Özdemir Erdoğan). Bir çok ulusal ve uluslararası yarışmada ödül aldı. İki müzikal besteledi (Şen Sazın Bülbülleri-Medya Medya Nereye). 1985'te evlendiği Aysun Kocatepe ile sahne çalışmalarını ve müzik yapımcılığını sürdürüyor. İlkyaz (1990) adında bir kızları var.
