 01.05.1957'de Adana'da doğdu, küçük yaşlardan beri müzikle iç içe
yaşadı.Dönemin en iyi hocalarından müzik, nota ve ney dersleri alarak müziğe
başladı. 1977 yılında İstanbul'a gelerek profesyonel olarak müzisyenlik yapmaya
başladı. Enstrüman olarak neyi geliştirerek dönemin ünlü sanatçılarına (Orhan
Gencebay, Ferdi Tayfur, Neşe Karaböcek, Gönül Akkor, Kamuran Akkor, Müslüm
Gürses, Mine Koşan...) sahnede ve albümlerinde eşlik etti.Daha sonra müzik
derslerine ağırlık vererek kendini geliştirdi ve beste yeteneğini keşfetti.
İlk bestesi ''Sev Yeter'' ile çok büyük bir çıkış yaptı. Bu eseri Müslüm
Gürses ve Kamuran Akkor gibi birçok sanatçı tarafından seslendirdi. Beste
çalışmalarına devam ederek ''Sensiz Yaşamaya Alışacağım, ''Yaranamadım'' (Müslüm
Gürses, Bülent Ersoy) ''Yorgun, Bırakın Gitsin, Gel de Yaşa, İşte
Dostlar....(İbrahim Tatlıses), Ayrılamam, Boynu Bükükler, Acıların Çocuğu, Haram
(Emrah), Hesabım Bitmedi, Gözün Sevem (Hakan Taşıyan) gibi birçok sanatçının
albümlerinde müzik yönetmenliği kimliğiyle ve klasikleşen besteleriyle müzik
dünyasındaki yerini aldı.
1980 yılından sonra kendisinin seslendirdiği eserleriyle 2 LP ve 10 albüm
çalışması yaptı.İlk albüm çalışması olan 'Sevmeli' ile çok büyük ses getirdi.
Şu anda kendine ait Uğur Bayar Production A.Ş. çatısı altında birçok
sanatçının albümünde prodüktör, müzik yönetmeni ve besteci olarak yer almaya
devam ediyor
