20 Kasım 1967’de İstanbul’da dünyaya gelen şarkıcı, 1986 yılında arkadaşlarıyla Mirage isimli grubu kurdu. Bu grupla 4 yıl boyunca başarılı çalışmalar yapan Teoman 1990 yılında grubun dağılmasından sonra Mavi Sakal, Black Rose gibi gruplarla çalışmaya başladı. 1997 yılında ilk solo albümü "Teoman"ı çıkaran şarkıcı bu albümle kamuoyundan büyük ilgi topladı. Yılın en iyi albümü seçilen "Teoman"dan sonra 1999 yılında "O" albümünü çıkaran Teoman, bu albümle de birçok ödül aldı ve çeşitli turne çalışmaları yaptı. 2000 yılında çıkardığı "17" albümüyle satış rekorları kıran sanatçı aynı yıl içinde Bülent Ortaçgil’in şarkılarının yorumlandığı "Şarkılar Bir Oyundur" albümünde "Yağmur" isimli şarkıyı seslendirdi.  2001 yılında piyasaya sürdüğü Gönül çelen albümü Teoman'ın müziğinin olgunlaştığını gösteriyordu. Albüm uzunca bir süre listelerde başarı kazandı. Teoman 2003 yılında Teoman adlı albümüyle hayranlarının karşısına çıktı.
