19 Haziran 1971 Mersin doğumlu Tarık'ın tam adı Tarık Ata Şimşek. Ailesinden ayrı yaşayan Tarık, bu programa katılmak için dost bildiği gitarını eline aldı Mersin'den kalkıp İstanbul'a geldi.    Tarık'ın mesleği müzisyen. Geçmişine baktığımızda onun profesyonel anlamda sahneye çıkıp, kendine özellikle Güney bölgelerimizde fan grubu oluşturmuş olduğunu görüyoruz. Tarık'ı çoğumuzdan önce tanıyanlar, Antalya, İzmir ve Marmaris yerlileri veya oraya giden turistler...    Anadolu Üniversitesi İktisat Fakültesi'nden mezun olan Tarık,  kendi söz ve bestelerini çok uzun yıllar önce yaratmış. Aslında, bugüne kadar biriktirdiği, neredeyse bütün solistlerimizin yeni albümlerine hit olabilecek kadar söz ve bestesi var. Şimdi popüler isimler onun peşinde... Gece klüplerinden en çok istek alan şarkılar onunki...    Tarık, ilk bestesini yaptığı günü düşündüğünde, aklına acı hatıralar da geliyor. O gün, anneannesini kaybettiğinin gün olmuş.    Yeşim Salkım'ın plak şirketi Yeşil Müzik'ten çıkan ilk albüm Of Deli Gönül'ün,  ilk hafta satışı 500 bin adete ulaştı... Türkiye'nin gelmiş geçmiş en büyük starlarının dudağını ısırtacak rakama 1 milyona doğru da hızla gidiyor... Hülya Avşar, Tarık'a beste ısmarlıyor, Mustafa Sandal da albüm yapmak konusunda ısrar ediyor.
