1953 yılında Adıyaman İli Kahta İlçesinde doğdu. Okul eğitiminden sonra, bir kamu kuruluşunda memuriyet hayatına başladı. Ayrıca, 1970 tarihinden itibaren Adıyaman'da müziğe başlayan sanatçı, halen profesyonel olarak yurtiçi ve yurtdışı konserlerine ve sanat yaşamına devam etmektedir.
